The manual page and help for the awstats linux command. AWStats is a free web server log file analysis software that displays detailed web statistics. The awstats command at the command line runs an update to site statistics (-update option) from a log file specified in the AWStats configuration file, or generates HTML content (-output option) to display the visual report. First, the awstats command attempts to read the awstats.virtualhostname.conf file as a configuration file. If it does not find it, it tries to read the awstats.conf file, and finally the file with the full path specified for the -config option.
