dpkg

Manual page and help for the dpkg linux command. Dpkg is a tool for installing, deleting, building and managing Debian packages. The primary and more user-friendly front-end of dpkg is aptitude. Dpkg itself can be controlled entirely from command line parameters, which can consist of an operation and zero or more options. The operation parameter tells dpkg what to do, and the options control the behavior and execution of the operation in some way.
